I loved the original ProudBody casting kit I used with my 1st daughter. I bought the deluxe for use with my 2nd pregnancy and found it not to be worth the extra money. The plaster it came with to 'smooth' over the cast for a better finish actually made my casting look terrible. All that is needed is the rolls of plaster then an application of gesso for the paint to adhere to. I am not happy that I had to spend an extra $15 for the deluxe kit (because it isn't carried in any of my local stores so I had to pay shipping). Buy the original kit and get an additional roll of plaster from your local hobby store for $4.

SO glad I choose to do this. There are 5 rolls of pre plaster bandage that you just soak then apply, use warm to hot water its better for mommy :) The lube that came with it works great and there is plenty. after it dried we used the seal plaster and now its ready for paint. We plan on doing a bronze and blue foot prints of our new son. Can't wait. ENJOY!!!

I am a busy mom and loved that this kit contained everything I needed to make my cast as well as get it ready for painting. Now, I just need decide how I want to paint it. Plus, there was so much casting material that I could make another cast just of my belly!

If you go to the local craft store to buy the materials, you will end up spending less than ten dollars for everything you need. This product is great if you aren't into saving money, but it's actually a total waste.

I love this product. I had my husband do the actual casting for me.

Only point is start from the top down and then do your second layer. Also when and if you put on the layer of plaster, mix a small amount first, not the whole bag like i did which caused me to end up with less plaster than i needed.

The whole casting, plastering and painting sets i did every 24 hrs to ensure that the mold was day.

I am so proud of my cast and wish i would have dont it for my first baby.
