We bought this for our son's 1st birthday party - it was a hit! You will definitely want to inflate with an electric pump, as if you used a bicycle pump or your own breathe to inflate the pit, it would take quite a while. It took less than 5 minutes with our electric pump. For the party, kids from 10 mos to 3 years of age played in and out of the pit, with no problems to the pit whatsoever. My only gripe is the lack of balls, as it only ships with 50, but TRU sells extra, which we did purchase. The balls it shipped with didn't seem to be what people have been complaining about, they seem rather sturdy to me, and none have broken apart.

If you are wondering what the point of the central tube is, the yellow spiral tube also inflates within the clear tube, so when balls go into the upper reservoir, they fall thru and ride down the yellow spiral tube and drop out the side near the bottom. The unit seems sturdy enough, but I did not see a recommended inflation (PSI) for the overall unit. Keep in mind, there are multiple inflation points, so I inflated enough to be resilient and bouncy, but not overly full where it would pop if pressed too hard.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone hosting a kids party, everyone enjoyed it and had a great time!

Bought this for a 1 year old birthday party. I got the pack of 250 extra balls and that filled it up just right. It required a lot of work to fill with air--took 2 people working hard on the bike pump! But we did it, and it was a hit with all the young guests, even a 7- and 9-year old. We placed it on a tarp on the backyard lawn and it survived quite a pounding from them! Now it sits in our living room and our 1 year old loves to play in it.

I ordered this for my sons birthday party. All the toddlers loved it. It's cute, sturdy, and bigger than I thought. I did buy more balls because what comes with it is not enough. I do recommend this product.

We love this ball pit. I agree that it doesn't come with enough balls. We bought 250 more and it is perfect. I think it is a great size. Our son is 1 and it is big enough for him and 2-3 of his friends to play in at the same time. We have had it for almost two weeks and no holes or problems of any kind. My husband and I have even crawled through it while playing. Overall I think it is great and very large :)

I thought my daughter would like this since when I was a kid I loved ball pits, but since it comes with so few balls and the sides are so short it really isn't much of a ball pit. I bought 150 more balls to fill it up, but she doesn't play in it, she just likes taking the balls and throwing them all around the room. I haven't had any issues with holes, but you will need to add a little more air every couple of weeks.

My 2 year-old son received this for Christmas. I was skeptical when he opened the gift, but he loved it. He kept disappearing into his "ball pit." However, the balls split very easily. They are very thin and the seams holding the two halves together are not sturdy. Also, after two weeks, the section of the inflatable that contains the air for the three uprights developed what must be a pinhole leak somewhere. I haven't been able to locate it, but it looses enough air to make the toy unusable after only a couple of hours after each inflation. All-in-all, I'd say that this toy was more fun for my son than I expected, but was of such low quality, I would not recommend it to others.

My 8 yr old niece saved up all her money for months to buy this for my 3 yr old son for Christmas, along with 200 more balls! He loved it, absolutely loved it!! He was having a blast with it! Unfortunately, he tripped,not hard by any means,and it just popped, the day after Christmas!He played with it once! I dont know if we received a faulty made one or what, but i know with how light of a landing he made it should not have popped that easily at all! My son and I are very disappointed and well he's heart-broken!As well as i have no idea how to explain this to my niece, who wants pictures!!So i am trying to figure out how to exchange this one for a new one!

Great product!! My husband bought 100 plastic balls for our kids, and they were all over the house so I decided to buy something to help with that. The balls that came with it would not have been enough, but we already had more. My 3 year old and my 10 month old both love it, and my 7 year old niece also likes it. We have had no problems at all. It is actually bigger than I thought it was going to be, but we have plenty of room for it. My 10 month old can easily climb in and out. The kids just love to throw the balls around. It was originally supposed to be a Christmas present, but my husband couldn't wait. I would buy it again if I had to.

I bought this for my 3-year-old and 1-year-old to share and they love it! It is very cute and has held up well, but the 50 balls it comes with doesn't even come close to filling it and the balls dent and break easily. We are buying 200 new balls for it...I think they will have even more fun!
