I just got these night lights today. Yes they are dim night lights. But, really do you need to see your baby's whole room? If so turn the light on or use a lamp. I have a small nursery 10x10 and I use one at one end of the room and one at the other end near the door. This works perfect for us. The night light doesnt get hot (thus the low light). We are about to toddler proof her room and these lights are a safe option. I say 4 stars becuase I wish they were a bit brighter but, I am fine with the use of 2.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a great night light. I use it every night and it lights up the room enough so I could see my baby sleeping with no other light on in the bedroom. You can turn the light on and off whenever you want too unlike the other night lights that stay on all the time, even during the day when it is not needed if the room isn't light enough. It's also inexpensive.
