I use this carrier just about everyday. I love it. Its still too big for my three month old, but I can tuck her feet and legs just so, so its more comfortable for her. Very comfy, and after I figured out the straps for the back can be raised up higher on the shoulder straps, so I could do it myself, instead of asking for help all the time. Love it. So glad I spent the money.

This is a little difficult to get the hang of. You might want to practice a few time with help. After a couple of trys, it becomes a very easy to use product. It is wonderful for your posture and comfortable. The shoulder straps are very comfortable to wear.

The Ergo Carrier (cranberry) is amazing. we have used it for travel, hiking and trips to the store. So much more convenient than the stroller for our 5 month baby. She loves it and finds it comfortable enough to take naps. The color is also great, and would also work for a boy. And it does not hurt my back at all. I love it!!

Seriously, do not waste your time on Bjorns, Snuglis or other "crotch danglers". They cause upper back pain on the wearer and are horrible for your infant's hips. Google it!
Our Ergo was worth every penny, even more so because you can use it until your child is a toddler, unlike the Bjorns which kill your back by the time your kid is 6 months old. Get a Moby or other soft wrap for your newborn, then sell it once they turn 3 or 4 months, and get an Ergo. I can wear my 20 pound daughter for HOURS, and when we travelled cross country we didn't bring a stroller, just the Ergo. It was perfect. Seriously, this is one purchase you will not regret. Get a cheapo stroller and put the savings toward a quality baby carrier! You will not reget it!

I owned another carrier when my son was born. He hated being put in it and would cry every time I tried to use it. So, I just decided a carrier wasn't for him and we never used one until NOW! My little man is 18mo. old and weighs about 25lbs. He's not abnormally large but for me 5'2" 130lbs, he was a beast to tote around. I finally decided I needed some help so I started researching carriers. I was a bit skeptical that I would find any product that would be appropriate to tote a toddler but I decided to give the Ergo a chance.

Amazing. I can carry him on my back, which I mastered solo in two tries and easily on my hip. He's a bit heavy for the front but he doesn't like to be carried that way so it works.

Did I mention he loves it. He cries when I take him out. I even tote him around the house when I'm trying to pick up and he's tearing it apart.

All in all, I never should have waited so long, when all those months of lugging him around could have been avoided with the Ergo.

I am a 5'1" mother of two. I weigh about 200 pounds and have a 48 waistline. The vast majority of baby carriers do not fit someone of my size. They're all too long on the back/chest and too tight around the waist.

I purchased this Ergobaby with the eight-inch waist extension. It fits perfectly! The only fit issue I have is where the shoulder straps buckle. The buckle digs into my chest/armpit a bit.
It's pretty easy to get my squirmy seven-month-old into all of the carrying positions and she has fallen asleep in it while hiking.

I have two big-ish issues. The first is that the straps for the sleeping hood are very difficult to reach when baby is on your back. Twice, I've had a problem where she fell asleep on my back and ended up with her neck/head flopping around because I couldn't get the sleeping hood (which is the ONLY neck/head support for this product)up and snapped.

The other problem is more of a caution for other plus-size parents. The hip carry is not good if you have a significant belly. By the time I get the straps adjusted to where baby feels supported, she's uncomfortably squished into my belly and side. I don't think that there is anything to be done, product-wise to address this. It's simply something to let other parents know.

Overall, I think this is a great product and it is by far the most comfortable carrier I have ever tried.

My twelve week old isn't able to hang her legs outside of the Ergo yet, but we did wear it once and she did a good job. It's somewhat difficult to put on by myself, but I think it'll be fine after I practice a bit more. I really like the cranberry color as well, I think it works for a baby girl or boy.

Since my son was born 9 months ago, we have used lots of carriers- the Moby wrap, a ring sling, a Snugli, a Chicco hiking pack, and now finally the Ergo Baby Carrier. This carrier is perfect for us, and it's easy enough for me to use during the day when it's just me and I need to take my son out on a walk. It's also easy to adjust for my husband to wear, and it doesn't hurt my back even after hours of walking around with my lovable little 20-pound weight!

I highly recommend this carrier; it's versatile, durable, comfortable, and easy to use. Oh, and my little boy loves it!

I really like this carrier. My son is almost three months old, so I cant attest to how it works when they are bigger than that. I do find it is a little difficult to buckle the back strap by myself because it is hard to reach. However, this may need some adjusting on my part. I like the hood that is attached: makes it nice to keep baby's head out of the sun, and cover him when he wants to take a nap. My son is tall, but still needs some help with head support. The hood also helps to keep his head from falling backwards. (we also have the infant insert) The straps are really comfy and I dont feel the weight on my back at all. I do like the pocket also: great to put keys, cellphone and paci.
