Product Description

The design of the Moby Wrap uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the Moby Wrap is a wide piece of durable fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners (that may break or bend). It is easy to adjust the fit of your Moby Wrap by varying how tightly you wrap yourself and baby. Moby Wraps are one size which means all caregivers can easily and comfortably share one wrap. Moby Wrap can be used for babies from 8-35 pounds.

Moby Wrap, Inc., headquartered in Chico, CA, was founded by two mothers on a quest for the perfect way to carry Baby. After extensive research on child carriers from around the world, they developed a sling-like fabric cotton wrap designed to distribute the weight of Baby evenly from a parent's shoulders to hips.

Moby Wraps align Baby's center of gravity uniquely close to a parent's body to provide extra comfort and security. These wrap-style fabric child carriers don't have buckles, snaps or other fasteners. It is easy to adjust the fit of a Moby Wrap by varying the tightness of the wrap itself. Moby Wraps are optimal baby carriers for babies up to 45 pounds. Also, Moby Wraps are high versatile, Baby can be wrapped facing in, out to the world, sideways or on a parent's back. When not being used as a carrier, the Moby can be used as blanket, pillow or anything else a parent can imagine.

I used my Moby from birth to 6+ months (when my child could sit up in the shopping cart). My child hated his car seat and stroller, so any time we went on a walk or shopping, we used this wrap. It is very comfortable to wear (although sometimes a bit hot) and distributes the weight very nicely on my hips. It took about 3 tries to get the tying right and I watched a lot of online videos to get my wrapping style down.
That said, I later learned this the bulkiest of babywearing wraps. It does NOT fit into the diaper bag, and generally sat in a clump in our backseat. For our next child, I may be inclined to try some less-known wraps that are a little less bulky.

This was a gift and I returned it. The material is soft and I'm sure it works great, but it wasn't for me.

I had a nearly preemie baby 5.5lbs at birth. You cannot use this until they're 8lbs (? I can't remember) But my son wasn't the right weight till he was 2 months old and I needed something before then that would work.

It was hard to figure out how to wrap correctly. I wanted something that I could put on quickly.

I returned it and got an Ergo 360 with the infant insert, so it fit my small baby right away.

I will admit at first I was apprehensive about using this wrap. I watched the videos and read the instructions and practiced at home prior to using it on the go. Loved it so much I bought 2 extra so I always have a clean one on hand. It grows with your baby and it is adjustable. The instructions aren't difficult to understand at all.

At first it is very complicated to understand how you have to wrap it. The description in the little booklet is useless.
Once you understood it, it doesn't fit at all. If your newborn is a little bit bigger, you can not use the recommended position for newborns. You can't fix the head. My baby was only crying when i tested it. I'll bring it back.

I wanted to like this after reading all the great reviews. I registered and received this as a gift for my shower. I was really excited and tried using it. It was so difficult to use! It's so long and hard to wrap without it getting twisted. I was practicing with a baby doll and there is no way I could get the hang of it even after watching instructional videos. I'm exchanging it for the Baby K'tan which looks a lot less complicated.

Great wrap, keeps your baby close with skin to skin contact. Price point is decent, worth it if you love having your baby close to you and want to get things done without worrying about baby. It can be tricky to wrap at first, but after some practice you get used to it. Definitely recommend to any mommy out there!
