I always am glad when LEGO releases a new TIE Fighter, especially an Advanced, because it is usually better than its predecessor. Case in point here (a minor note: it goes with the TV show Rebels, which I don't watch, so you're reading it from a perhaps different review than otherwise). I like the minifigures to this set, and I like the fighter, but I have to say that $40 instead of maybe $20-30 makes this one of the most overpriced Star Wars sets I've seen in forever. TIE Advanced Prototype: It goes great with any of your other TIE Fighters as well as what rebel ships you might have. It's cockpit and main body build are similar to the last regular TIE that came out, but the curved wings are different altogether. It features not much, but then, a TIE really shouldn't have a ton of extra junk on it. A humble spring missiles, bending wings and opening cockpit will do. Great ship, recommend the B-wing to go with it! MINIFIGURES: -The Inquisitor: Don't know the show so I don't know the guy, but he is a pretty cool Sith. He has a special just about everything, from torso printing to hood mold to lightsaber handle (more cool than anything else). I won't have a lot of use for him, but who knows, he may come in handy next December when Star Wars 7 arrives? -TIE Pilot: He's the same as the old one. His printing and helmet IS however, much more advanced than anything, say, pre-2013. Always good to have one or two lying around. -TIE Officer: I LOVE his hat! This guy is much more advanced than anyone you see in the Death Star or something. He's a great dude to have around, whether to report to Lord Vader (who I think would have been nice instead of the Inquisitor, by the way, but hey, I'm just naturally an OT guy) or to capture Han and Leia at the Endor bunker. OVERALL: I really like this set, but I think its WAY overpriced. The playability is just a teensy-bit lower than usual, but that's just cause there's no good guys INCLUDED. I assume everyone has rebels in their collection, and if not, you really ought to get some :)

I bought this set to build while i was out of town with my family in case i got bored while alone in the hotel room. I had wanted this set for a while and it didnt exactly meet all expectations. This was a nice set. I enjoyed building the cockpit very much so but the wings became boring to build quickly. I have enjoyed repetitious sets before, however this one is not one of those sets. This is one of me least favorite sets i own, however it wasnt all bad. It looks very cool once finished and the minifigures are probly some of my favorites ive recieved in a set. Aside from the one missing piece (which i noticed at the end of the set and that was very frustrating) it was a solid set. I wouldnt recommend it only because i actually got bored building it, and legos do NOT bore me. But it looks cool so cant complain about the final structure.

Comments about LEGO Star Wars The Inquisitor (75082):

this is an awesome set. i love the tie itself. its very sturdy and its super super fun to play with. the inquisitor is a great fig with great armor and printing. the tie pilot and officer are ok i guess but i dont rly use them or care for them. they are nice additions i guess. but its all about the tie and the inquisitor for me and its great. snatch it up quick before it gets retired and becomes super expensive.

Generally good, the price sets it down...

By FrankieP

Comments about LEGO Star Wars The Inquisitor (75082):

If you've read other reviews by me you'll know I do this on my parents account because I'm too young but I love Star Wars. Here we go again...
I got this set for my birthday from my NZ friend, and I really enjoyed building it. It was a quick build, so I could get straight on to playing with it. I got the Wookiee Gunship from my friend for Christmas, so I could make them battle and all that. The set itself is sturdy, and it can stand on it's wings when you fold them out. The two hatches and the moving joystick-y thing means it's easy to minifigs in which is good.

The minifigs that come with the set are:
TIE Fighter Pilot
Imperial Officer
The Inquisitor

The Inquisitor has a good lightsaber hilt true to the Rebels series, and his face and body have good printing. His armour has a hook for his lightsaber hilt to clip on which is handy and his helmet looks good. The other two minifigures have decent printing but aren't very interesting.

The spring loaded missile mechanism on this set works well as you twist the back to shoot them and the part you twist blends in well with the rest of the ship.

I haven't given it full marks because it doesn't have too many play features, and the Inquisitor is definitely the stand out minifigure as the others are average, but it's a good set, so if you like Rebels and can get it for a discount I recommend it.

Great addition to the Star Wars Rebels series

Comments about LEGO Star Wars The Inquisitor (75082):

It was a fun set to build, and you get three minifigures including the inquisitor. It would take most people lest time to build this set compared to me since I am legally blind, but it is fun to build and instructions are easy to fallow. Adults and kids will enjoy building the set.

Comments about LEGO Star Wars The Inquisitor (75082):

This is a great set! Goes great with the Ghost and Phantom sets that we've already have! Seems to be very durable and sturdy construction, although the wings collapsing when its setting makes it hard to display. The mini figures are really awesome, especially the details they put into the Inquisitor! The only drawback, as with a lot of Lego ships, it has some repetitive steps of building, but overall a fun set to put together. I am so glad that they didn't retire the set at the end of last year and I was able to get it!

Let me start by saying ...

    By Zane376

    from Waterdown

Comments about LEGO Star Wars The Inquisitor (75082):

Let me start by saying that this set along with two of the mini 75128 sets & Poes X-wing made for lots of fun reenacting the Death Star destruction run in Star Wars IV with my 7 year old. For the price this is a good value. The number of men to the price is about right (that's how my 7 year old judges) . The build was a little to complicated for him I would say 9-10 years of age would be able to build without much of a problem. The fighter itsself is a little big for small hands which can cause some issues when trying to fire the projectiles. About the projectiles they are on a hair spring and come out with power.

Comments about LEGO Star Wars The Inquisitor (75082):

I really enjoyed putting this build together and I think you will too! It is small compared to some of the other Star Wars sets in my collection, but really accurate and sturdy enough that I could give it to my toddler to play with without too much worry. The Tie fighter looks great, very accurate compared to the one in Rebels. The folding wings are sturdy enough that you can stand the ship on them. The inquisitor minifig is really cool, I really like the way the helmet looks with the red visor and his unique dual lightsaber. On top of that you are also getting an Imperial officer and a Tie Pilot! Overall great value in this set, truly recommend it for your collection.
