I waited for this since the day I first saw it at the Toy Fair. I am a huge GI JOE fan so when Kreo first released wave 1 I was hooked.

The Terror Drome is awesome. Couldn't wait to pair it up with the Firebat. The build wasn't difficult. It took about 90 minutes.

The size is ok. The bottom holds figs good but noticed there wasn't a lot of room on the top. I would have liked the Cobra symbol on the openings for the Firebats Bay but I could just make it myself. I don't handle it much after its build so stability wasn't an issue. It seamed fairly stable to me once I placed it in my case. The hardest part of the build for me was getting Serpentors cape and hood to look good. Happy with the VTOL and the Chariot was ok. Other than that I am very pleased with it

Going in my main concern was there being no issues with the mini-figures. Being a $100 set they could end up being a pain to replace and with my local TRU's seemingly not carrying the new waves, it would mean shipping it back or hoping for it to finally hit stores. Thankfully I had no major issues with the figures. The set includes 3 of the G.I. Joe characters and 3 COBRA agents with plenty of accessories and add-ons.

Serpentor's Air Chariot went together without a hitch, as did the G.I. Joe Sky Hawk. Both were fun little builds. The twin engine pegs on the Sky Hawk could have been a little tighter when fitting into the 1x1 connector piece, but other than that the builds seem pretty sturdy.

The base of the Terror Drome was a little tricky. The pieces on the base didn't want to stay level until I got the bottom flats, middle bricks, and top flats together and gave them a good squeeze. The rest of book two went together fairly quickly. I did have a 1x1 clip that holds the side panels on come in a little warped. Looks like the mold didn't take all the way, but I was still able to get it to work.

I found the top of the Terror Drome to be the least stable. I really had to work to keep the large curved panels to stay connected to the build. To help secure those I used some additional grey 2x4 flats over the area where the red seats go. This seemed to help hold them together better. The side walls secured nicely and I really love the attention to detail in the monitor stickers. When putting together the launch bay I again had a 1x1 clip that wasn't molded properly (but still got it to work, although I'll probably swap the bad ones out with LEGO extras I have). I think the set could have done with a few extras of those pieces thrown in.

I wish there was a slightly better way to secure the upper portion to the base rather than just setting it on top. Until I secured the curved panels better with the 2x4's, the top portion would keep coming apart.

I think I came out of the build a little disappointed with some of the QC and connecting issues encountered, but overall I love the look of the design. I'm not sure if its the largest KREO set (thinking of the Enterprise / Klingon TRU exclusive?) but it's definitely the largest KREO set I've put together. It's also my first Terror Drome as I never had the original 3 3/4" release.

Much like the classic Transformers Grimlock dinosaur build I noticed an improvement in the plastic interlocking, but again there were still some issues with the larger pieces fully securing and those 1x1 clips having some mold issues.

I really hope this isn't the last offering for G.I. Joe KREO, (I'd love to see a Dreadnok Thunder Machine set with Road Pig, Thrasher, and Buzzer - a Cobra La set - and a Joe base) but if it is the line went out with a bang.

Until we hear more though it's a wait for those wave 4 KREO packs to show up!

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 KRE-O G.I. Joe Terror Drome Set (A8604):

I had to reinforce the top with some extra Legos. It is a nice set. I have all the G.I. Joe kreo sets, and they look awesome and have great play options. The only gripe is having to add some pieces to make the sets more durable, if u are going to play with them.

Incredibly fun to assemble and play with! Not for the timid brick builder, this 800+ piece set took over 2 hours to assemble. The execution on the jet elevator is perfect! Love the details (gas room, jail cell, throne room, etc). The mini-figs are also perfect.

    Don't miss out!

This was a great addition to the Kre-O Joe toy line & a nice nod to the 1986 Vintage version. I hope we get more involved play sets to build going forward with the Kre-O brand!

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 KRE-O G.I. Joe Terror Drome Set (A8604):

I had asked for one things for Christmas, guess what it was? You're right, it was the Terror Drome. My wife thought I was silly that I wanted this instead of a new electronic gadget, or cooking do-dad. No, this is what I wanted, nostalgia coated in building block goodness. 855 pieces of fun.

I spent the first hour building the base. Which, if you've ever built Lego, this is pretty standard. The blocks are pretty much the same thing. Even the instructions are similar. But both Lego and Hasbro can never truly match the color of certain pieces and it gets a tad confusing.

    Just a tad.

Now the upper level, was a little different. It has pieces that like to not sit well together. In fact, after three rebuilds of the upper level, there is still some serious conversation in my head about using superglue to keep the level in place instead of pieces coming apart if there is a slight breeze.

Got this on sale during Christmas. Way cheaper than Legos and a quality product. The Terror Drome top was a little flimsy so we glued it together. Other than that this is a great toy for the boys.
