Yes the pumps are a little loud. Not that bad though. Yes it works better being plugged in then the batteries. But for the money it worked great. I actually have the double one though to do both at once. I read a few people had some problems with the suction. I did too at first until my boyfriend realised something. Unfortunately its not in the instructions but there is this small, oval rubber flap thing on the piece that is on the very bottom of the pump where the milk drips into the bottle. This flap can cause loss of suction if it is not COMPLETELY flat and seals up the bottom. If the flap opens then it looses suction. No big deal for the price though. Just make sure its closed. Worked the whole time I breast fed and I am even giving it to a friend who cant afford one.

I gave it one star for each month it worked well. After two months of great suction it started acting tired and slow, not to mention it is super loud. You have to be near an outlet or buy the expensive batteries for it to work well. It stopped working completely after 4 months. Luckily, I bought the protection plan from Babys R Us, but it is such a headache to get it replaced. You have to purchase a new one, send in the new and old receipt, along with all of your information, and finally you receive your refeinbursment after 2 weeks or so. Don't waste your time or money. Buy a manual pump! It doesn't hurt your wrist, so put that fear to rest. It's quite, portable and super easy to use.

    Worst pump yet

    By Angelab

    from CA

Comments about Evenflo Feeding Single Electric Breast Pump:

My baby is less that 6months old and I've gone through two of these already. The problem with this pump is that the milk gets sucked right into the machine.

Go ahead and invest in another pump

    By Kort233

    from Dallas

Comments about Evenflo Feeding Single Electric Breast Pump:

This pump is LOUD. Suction gets weak within the first couple months. I got this pump because my baby came a bit earlier than expected and we didn't have time or money to get my desired brand pump yet. I needed something fast that would help me out during engorgement and also get started on storing milk for when I returned to work. It did the job for about 6 weeks...

        Not for EBF

        By Pinky

        from NY

Comments about Evenflo Feeding Single Electric Breast Pump:

I got this pump because it was the only one available until my medela arrived. I barely got any milk out. The most ever was 3oz after 45 min session on two breast. It isn't powerful and it is a pain to have to hold up. If you want a pump to help with engorged breast and relieve some pressure, this is it. But if you are trying to build a freezer stash please invest in a medela.

        I'm disappointed

        About Me Working Parent

Comments about Evenflo Feeding Single Electric Breast Pump:

I had an evenflo pump for my first child. Although it never worked as well as the Medela it was adequate. This is my second child and I decided to go the same route again. Using the evenflo for home use. I got it as a gift this time and from the first use the suction was horrible. I damaged my Medela pump the other night and had no choice but to pull this one out. I was did a better job at manually expressing milk than this pump did. It's very frustrating.

        Does not work well

        By Brossman

        from New Mexico

Comments about Evenflo Feeding Single Electric Breast Pump:

Aside from the obvious, it being loud, it worked well at first. But the suction is bad so it leaks. I exclusively pump and am waiting for my medela from insurance. It is not a pump you want for exclusive pumping, you lose valuable milk due to leaks, and it takes 20 minutes to express one ounce of milk.

Makes bubbles and goes back up into the overflow valve

        By Twiz

        from Undisclosed

        Pros

        • Portable

        Cons

        • bubbling over into the overflow valve
        • HARD TO CLEAN
        • Ineffective

        Best Uses

Comments about Evenflo Feeding Single Electric Breast Pump:

While the product itself still works, it has started making bubbles by the membrane, the milk also goes up into the overflow valve and almost makes it into the machine. It's rather loud and annoying, while it pumps nicely I do not like that I feel like I am wasting my milk because of the bubbles. I do not like this as it also does not have a powerful enough suction even on the highest setting.
