Toys“R”Us is once again partnering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) to help raise funds and awareness for the organization and support its mission to find a cure for childhood cancer.
Since the partnership began in 2011, donations from customers, Toys“R”Us, Inc. and the Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund have provided nearly $6 million to help ALSF fund pediatric cancer research and support families affected by cancer.
What started as a front yard lemonade stand hosted by four-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was diagnosed with cancer just before her first birthday, has transformed into a national movement. Kids continue to host lemonade stands across the country in her honor and stir the most important ingredients of all into their lemonade – love, hope and support for the 263,000 children worldwide affected by new cases of childhood cancer each year.
Who Do You Stir 4?
Before losing her battle at the age of 8, Alex stirred for kids like her who were fighting childhood cancer. Supporters of all ages can raise awareness for ALSF by telling us who or what they stir for! It’s simple:
Write down who or what inspires you to #Stir4ACure, whether it’s a family member, friend, Alex, love, hope or all children facing this heartbreaking disease.
Take a photo holding your #Stir4ACure sign.
Then, share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #Stir4ACure and tagging @ToysRUs.
Host A Stand
Kids are never too young to make a difference! ALSF champions – big and small – are hosting lemonade stands nationwide to help raise millions of dollars for childhood cancer research. You and your family can help, too! Click below to learn how you can host an official Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
