Rated 1 out of 5 by from App won’t work on iPhone I forked out on the game only to find that the app won’t work on my iPhone. I tried it on another iPhone with the same result. Might be asking for my money back unless it’s fixed soon!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work My son got this for his birthday. Upon turning on the pen to try and connect, it was solid red and wouldn’t connect. Tried several times including replacing the new battery to another new battery. It didn’t work. I returned it to the store and bought another one. Same thing happened with this one. I have a new iPhone and have no issues connecting Bluetooth to headphones, my car, watch, other devices, etc. This product is garbage. Will be returning it for a second time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It just doesn’t work Firstly, Mattel assume anyone with an iPhone also has an Apple TV device. It will not let you cast from iPhone to Chromecast. Secondly, the app just doesn’t work. Video is just frozen, then moves for 2 secs, then freezes, it doesn’t pick up the light, you can’t draw anything intentional at all. You just get a few random marks on screen while the drawer is just frozen. Utterly terrible. I note Mattel have put a load of fake and paid reviews on here too, which is a real shame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's a interesting way to draw [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the concept of the item but it's hard to navigate the space to draw in. My daughter has autism and while this product seems great for a average 8 year old using augmented reality it not easy to use when you need a extreme amount of guidence. I like the new take on it though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kids loved it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So excited to try! Great fun with family or friends. The kids loved using the iPad instead of paper. Figuring out where in the house was the best spot to use took a slight effect. Again this was easy with them so excited. They are each of their summer friends play dates to play.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FAMILY FUN! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were exited to receive this fun game. The app was easy to download and use. The game itself is easier for adults to use than children. My 8 year old kept wanting to watch the screen as she was drawing. Drawing in the air does takes some getting used to as does remembering to not hold the button down during transitioning to different parts of your picture. We were not unable to stream the images to our TV which I'm sure would make this game easier and even more fun.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be fun ... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The necessary app was easy to find and download. The pen is super easy to use for drawing, for both adults and children. We have an older Smart TV so it was not possible to view the drawings on a big screen. That would have been a lot more fun to see the art magically appear super sized. The categories were a little complicated for our eight-year old, but he was able to sort through the cards and find some he could draw. Seeing the art appear on our phones was fun - and VERY funny - but it was more difficult to decipher in such a small format. The pen glitched a few times, causing lines to appear that hadn't been drawn, but that only added to the fun. It would probably be more fun on a TV, but overall, the non-digital version of Pictionary is more fun for us to play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great family fun!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Pictionary Air for free in return for my honest review. Our family had so much fun with this game. Our 8 year old thought it was the best thing. If I could suggest one thing it would be the button on the pen to be able to stay in while trying to draw. That is the only thing my 8 year old kept forgetting to hold in other than that it was a blast. I highly recommend this game because it's fun and everyone can participate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not waste your money Thought it would be fun, but it is not. Extremely hard to use. Stick with the traditional version. The Air is horrible

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cool idea! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I played this with my 8 year old and my husband. We were easily able to download the app to our iPhones, but not put it on the tv. I think if we could have gotten it on the tv it would have been better. You have to stand in one place while drawing (this was hard for my 8 year old) . If you move your phone while the player is drawing it completely messes up the picture. It is funny, but difficult to execute well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The kids had a blast [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kiddos loved this new version of Pictionary. It took my husband and I a little bit to get used to it as we couldn't really see what we were drawing. With Pictionary Air you draw in the air with the light and your team mate can see what you are drawing on a tablet or cast to your tv screen. Everything worked as is it should have and was fun once the adults made the adjustments from what we were used to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a blast with this game! Easy set up! Just download the app and start trying to draw! The only real issue i had was with the lighting on the video! We had every light on and it still came up dark! Some of the clues on the cards were a bit challenging, but we definitely had fun with it!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not like at all [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Drawing stuff in the air seems like fun but no matter how big we try to draw it looks like a blob. Hard to use for kids and adds a harder element since you can’t see what you are drawing. It would be better if we could see what we are drawing and have it show up to the tv or computer or even a small phone screen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pen is defective The pen is defective and every time we try to draw or clear the screen, it just randomly scribbles all over and ruins whatever we are trying to draw.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult game [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get a new game for our family. This game however wasn't the best. The idea behind it is cool but the mechanics of it need improvement. The pen does not work well. It skips all over the place and creates a lot of dots and dashes. You download an app on your phone or tablet and quickly our arms became tired of holding it up towards the person drawing . Not to mention everyone has to crowd around the one person holding the device. You can cast to your Tv if you have the right streaming device. We do not have a smart tv and our streaming device is Roku and we apparently do not have the right version. Also, it can be very dark and you cannot have light behind you while drawing. My family did get a good laugh though, we laughed at how terrible this was. The original pencil and paper is so much better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great idea that does not execute well. Difficult to set up if you have certain devices that are not "i" related. Could not cast to the tv either after following all directions. Very difficult to draw anything that looks better than a 2 year old's sqiggles. Would not reccomend, unless you just want an expensive set of pictionary cards.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You can draw in the Air! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this item for free from Mattel. I was unable to figure out how to get the app on my smart TV, but I was able to get the app on my phone and tablet. I would rather use paper and pencil. The drawings done in the "air" are not as good as drawing on paper. However, my 8 year old had fun and enjoyed this old classic in a new way!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Play [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this, it was so easy to set up, just download the app and start playing! My 10 and 12 year old sons even put down their electronics to come play with mom and dad! My only complaint is that it is a bit hard to draw but I’m guessing that will get better with time. We will recommend to friends and family!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bugs need tweaking It took a while to set up the app and tv casting but works well once the tech is sorted. However, during play the app constantly displays irritating ‘tips’ RIGHT ACROSS THE PLAY AREA! So you cannot see what you’re drawing properly. This tip feature cannot be turned off so ultimately it’s not playable, which is a great pity as it has a lot pf potential. Seems underdeveloped

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New twist on an old favorite! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are Apple users so mirroring my screen to our Apple TV was no problem. Takes to time to figure out the kinks (lighting, pen usage, etc) but once we got going it was a fun game! Lots of laughs and great family time. Seeing the game on the TV is a big advantage if you’re hosting a large group or have a large family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fun take on Pictionary, Ages 8+ [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family was excited to try this! After downloading the app on an iPad and setting up the camera against a different wall from the TV, we were able to cast to the TV for the players guessing. The pen does not require Bluetooth to play this, just pop in the battery and turn it on. It responds to the light-up color of the pen tip, which is red when you turn it on and green when you hold down the button to draw. Part of the fun is that you can be a little “off” as you’re drawing, because you cannot see the lines you’ve drawn. (If you do happen to try to watch yourself on the TV, it makes drawing harder because it is a mirror image). The “ink” color matches whatever team color you choose. It defaults to Blue vs. Yellow (which matches the color of the cards), but you can adjust to others, like pink, green, orange, or purple when setting up a match. During setup, you also choose how many rounds (a minimum of 3) and how much time per round (a minimum of 90 seconds). Ideally, I would’ve liked to have had the option to customize time lengths per team in case you want younger players to have more time. Speaking of ages, this game is listed as Ages 8+, which seems about right. My 5 & 7 year olds played this, with varying difficulty. 5yo needs someone to read the clues to her and has trouble keeping the button held down on the pen when trying to draw- so overall, too young to play but wants to be included so we had one of the grownups help guide the pen with her. 7yo needed a little help with reading the clues, but could navigate the pen fairly well. Both got frustrated at points, but my 7yo still loved it and wanted to keep playing after the rest of the family was done. They also had to be reminded that they could interact with their drawings to help guessers. With older players, you wouldn’t have some of those issues, and I would definitely recommend as something to try for game night! The only other minor complaint is that the clue cards are supposed to be the same level of difficulty, but there are definitely some that seem a lot harder than others. As the game is running, there’s a way to keep track of clues that have been guessed correctly by clicking on the star icon (which also clears the drawing for the next clue), a pause button, and an eraser to clear whatever’s currently drawn. For my younger ones, we used the pause button at times to give them a little extra time to think. I imagine we’ll continue to get more use out of this game as the kids get older and I look forward to playing with more adults once the pandemic lockdown is over! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fun! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I always look for games to play when we get together and I brought Pictionary Air. Everyone went nuts for it and we had a blast! It was easy for everyone of all ages to use and we used our phones with it to see the drawings. Best game I’ve played in a very long time! I absolutely loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from silly fun for the entire family! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had 3 adults and one 9 year old boy playing this. Set up was easy peasy and playing it was fun. You need to remember to keep still while drawing and hold your device steady, but that's not too bad. We loved that you could draw and interact as well.....it's like charades amped up a bit!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun, but complicated! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this game. However, once we figured out that we could not cast it to our tv, it became complicated to play holding an iPad for everyone to see. The concept is awesome and so much fun, but the awkwardness of the iPad made it difficult to fully enjoy it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very cool game [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter thinks this is a really cool toy. I like the fact you can draw in the air and what you are drawing shows up on your device. That is a really good feature! The only downside is the person who is drawing cannot actually see how the picture is coming out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tons of Fun! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The app is easy to use and includes instructional videos to help get you started. The hardest part is getting used to drawing your pictures in mid air! So far, my family has really enjoyed it, especially being able to replay the captured video of the round.
