Great for the car!
I am in total disbelief by all the negative reviews here! This little board is awesome! In fact, I came here looking to purchase a second one for my 3 yr old daughter because her first one has gotten lost.
She has had the original one for over a year & loves it! It seems obvious to me that the design is not intended for an intricate masterpiece. The gel & light up board behind is more like finger painting.
The best part about this doodle board is it is perfect for the car! Its lightweight, easily fits in my little girls backpack.
Overall, this toy is awesome & I am, literally, buying it again!

Was the music really necessary?
Bought this for my kiddo for Christmas. It feels like the music was totally unnecessary for the toy. And I swear the music just keeps going and going and going. I think most kids toys have a timeout feature but this doesn't seem to? My son has a short attention span so he frequently walks away from toys and this one just keeps playing until we turn it off. Really, really annoying.
The toy itself is fine. I don't mind that it doesn't fully erase. It wasn't surprising to me. But the adults in our family have had more fun with it than my son.

NOT MESS FREE
So much for this product being missed free I turned around and my son was blue like a Smurf after having punctured it just by drawing with his finger on it. cheaply made. shame bc he loved it

Our 2 yo likes it well enough
Its like finger painting. There are 5 well known nursery songs, and one odd ball that the internet has not been able to identify. Many complaints about leaking. Would be great if Crayola could provide cleanup instructions.

My 3 year old loves it!
We bought this for my son for Christmas, because he loves to draw. He loves the music and lights! It keeps him happy in the car and in his bed! Really great purchase!

I was excited for my grandson to try this out, but very hard to work with the gel to erase what he has drawn. Surprised Crayola made this.

Great thing to buy!
