overall beautiful doll
Although I wish the doll had more articulation, I understand that for the price this is what we get these days. The doll looks exactly like Halle, and the tail looks beautiful.

Not as good…
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the littler mermaid and was really looking forward to recovering this doll but the doll seems rushed and like an afterthought. Even the packaging is not what I expect from Mattel. The doll itself is really pretty but doesn’t feel as sturdy as other dolls, the hair could have been done better. The body of the doll feels cheap when compared to the Barbie mermaids. Pretty doll but I can see it breaking soon.

Beautiful Mermaid

The attention to detail on the doll is wonderful and the tail clicks into place and really brings the character to life. The doll itself is high quality and well made, and my daughter loves playing with it in the pool. Overall, I am extremely happy with the Little Mermaid doll and would highly recommend it to other people.

OMG Iove her!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG I love her! My daughter screamed when she saw the doll. It was love at first site. She instantly wanted to open her. Packaging was easy to open making it quick to get to the doll. The doll is beautiful and looks just like Ariel in the movie. The hair is soft and her tail is so pretty. My daughter couldn’t put her down. She took the doll with her to the movie. She plays with recreating parts of the movie. This Ariel doll was a huge hit with my kid!

Like a real mermaid
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Ariel doll is great for water play. It’s been in the bath tub, it’s been in the water table, it’s been in little pool, and bounce house water. Her hair is not like other doll’s hair. Her hair is nicer and it’s not getting tangled up. But we aren’t brushing it. She is just a swimming mermaid not a dress up mermaid as my child would say. I was also surprised how gorgeous the tail was once we took her out of the box. She is very detailed. We love Ariel.

Ariel mermaid in the water
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This doll hair is so beautiful top hair is curly and bottom wavy hair like the blending the tail is removable we went to the lake and she play with the doll all day theres no light or music that could damage the toy in the water so that’s a plus about water toys. the doll is able to sit and move her hands I would like a little comb. She was asking for one to come her hair, but other than that takes it everywhere

The Little Mermaid!!

My 8 yr old was super happy and shocked when she’s opened up the package and seen the The Little Mermaid Doll, which we received the opening weekend of the movie!!! The doll resembles the actress, Halle Bailey, very well and she have a gorgeous tail that you attach one the bottom. She is beautiful done and my daughter actually carried her to the movie theatre to watch the movie as well.

Little mermaid doll

Her favorite thing about the doll was being able to take it swimming with her also she loved how vibrant the colors of the mermaid tail were and how much she resembles the actor from the movie. She said there wasn’t one thing the disliked about the doll it has become her favorite doll.

Beautiful and loved Ariel doll.

She has brought it with her to school for show and tell, doctors appointments, restaurants and just out running errands. She is now obsessed with mermaids and wants to be one when she grows up. I love the tail on Ariel. It is so beautiful! I also love how much this doll looks like the actresses. Even has the forehead mole.

Fun very movie accurate toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has just started to get into the Little Mermaid and this doll really sparks her joy. I really like how the hair is partially braided, and mostly straight. The tail bend feels very smooth, and the colors are very vivid. She enjoyed playing in the bath with the toy because of course! It's a mermaid! And it drained and held up very well to the water.

Beautiful version of Disney's The Little Mermaid
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter hasn't seen either Disney version of The Little Mermaid, but I did see the live-action version in the theater with another 90's kid, and it definitely hit some nostalgia buttons for both of us. The doll version of Ariel is so pretty, and the way her hair was done (a mix of doll hair fibers and yarn) is really cool and interesting. I liked that she was packaged with her tail as a separate piece, because the box would have been gigantic otherwise. It was easy to put the tail together once unboxed.
Ariel can sit or "swim" with her tail straight out, and her other points of articulation are her neck and shoulders. Her poses are somewhat limited, but the doll is also sturdier with fewer articulation points. Her top in painted on, but one of the scales wore away pretty quickly with my four-year-old's play (hence one star off). Overall, this is a fun doll that will survive travel and play without losing any pieces!
