Overall, super exciting!
As a HUGE Harry Potter nerd, I was estatic to buy my first "big" Harry Potter Lego kit! As a college student who wants this more for the building experience and decor, I would say it's a little on the more expensive side, but otherwise, I was literally giddy with excitment while purchasing and building this! There are some really cute little details that had me giggling over the set, and overall, I had a blast. The only problem I really have is that the train doesn't fit on the tracks perfectly, but as someone who isn't really going for the play factor, I don't mind it!

If you're a Potter head, then this is definitely a good inexpensive set, and if you're getting it for your new Potter head member, its awesome for them too, and if you're just a Railroad enthusiast it's got you covered there too, all around a good "steam locomotive".

It's a Christmas gift
I haven't opened or built it as it's a gift. However, it looks really cool and I can't wait to gift it! She will love it! The receiver is a huge Harry Potter fan and a huge lego fan and has several Harry Potter sets - however even if one is not a Harry Potter fan, this set will delight!

Exquisite Detail, Minifig Scale
This Hogwarts Express is perfect, from the shape of the locomotive to also having two passenger coaches. The build was so much fun and enjoyable. It looks amazing with my Hogwarts Castle display.
