Rated 5 out of 5 by from This set is beautiful! This set is amazing! I don’t know if this part is based on the real Taj Mahal, but I enjoyed the bright orange, blue and green interior pieces. They kept the build from getting monotonous in some ways. The base of this set is much sturdier than any of my other architecture sets. The time it took wasn’t too bad for the piece count. Each of the ten bags probably took me 30-45 minutes, and I’m not very quick. You would think that any and all legos are safe for your average thirteen-or-so year old, but I can see where Lego was coming from with the age rating. There are lots of small, pointed pieces. I scraped myself a time or two, but nothing that broke skin. I wouldn’t have cared if I had broken skin though, because it would have been worth it! A really, really lovely set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Architecture Set I've Built The Taj-Mahal by far has been my favorite Architect build to date. The level of detail and thought put into the smaller scale model was phenomenal. I took my time building only doing a bag a day during the week and 2 bags on the weekend. The repetitive building was not bad at all. With each repetitive section you got to see the design and details come together to make an absolutely awesome display piece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome display piece A terrific, eye-catching display piece, and a challenging, rewarding building experience. LEGO: please consider making more of these 2,000 - 3,000 piece "Architecture" sets -- they're awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly Good (mistake or Easter egg on the box!) First of all, I bought this because the price is very low for the amount of pieces. The reason I say “mostly good” is because there are a lot of repeated steps which was pretty annoying. Otherwise I really enjoyed building this. The picture on the box has something a little strange to me. I doubt this was done on purpose, but if anybody happens to know this was intentional and if so, why?, I’d love to know. So basically the white pieces lining the bottom (I circled them in the picture) have the LEGO logo on one side and a random dot on the other side. The pieces are placed vertically in a way that the logo is always at the top. However, one of the pieces on the corner has the logo at the bottom with the dot on top. I found that really interesting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall just alright This set at first seems to be a great idea, but if you pay close attention you can see that it is mostly small pieces along with the set not being massive, it uses a lot of extra pieces and is very repetitive their really isn’t much to the set if you have the money then get it but if not, then you should get something else, and don’t pay attention to the piece number as it won’t tell you its true worth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Repetitive but Fun! First, understand that the Mughal building style is extremely symmetrical so this build by default has a lot of repetition to preserve accuracy. Finished product looks absolutely beautiful on display. Highly recommend for architecture fans! But if you can’t stand repetition definitely not the build for you!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why is there a cross at the top of the dome? Why is there a cross at the top of the center dome instead of a crescent moon? It may not be the actual cross shape but it is made to look like a cross from any angle. The designer who paid attention to so many details of the structure could not figure out the difference between a crescent moon and a cross? Or is Lego not capable of designing a simple crescent shape despite being able to create so many custom pieces for this set? This is a deliberate microagression at its best, trying to put your personal / religion first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A well scaled display gem Many have commented on the repetition but really this is the nature of things particular to this style of architecture. The only thing asymmetrical are the tombs. I enjoyed this build a lot and the clever sub-assemblies Everything worked in concert from start to finish. The scale was perfect and makes for a striking display piece. I like Lego sets that have many pieces in which the build is submersive and in that respect, this really satisfies that
