Instructions included and are also in an app for full detailed instructions. This is recommended 8 plus age group. With assistance from an older sister or parent an 8 year old could put this together. I like the fact that it is not too easy and requires reading and following instructions to assemble. Many steps in the assembly. Once together it is nice. Cotton needs care in applying. A hand control is included with 3 modes and 13 colors. Needs a lot of batteries — 3 triple aaa and one cr2025 flat battery.

There was more than enough of the filling to completely cover the whole lantern. The instructions were easy as well. One of the things that I would like to see different is the battery on the remote control. There was none included. We usually have AA and AAA batteries on hand but we never have button batteries. Girls were excited to finish and turn on the lantern but were a little bummed that they had to wait until we bought the button batteries for the remote to work.

The kit comes with everything you need to make this adorable cloud lamp. The directions were a tiny bit confusing and it’s a lot for a kid to do in one sitting, like I said, I ended up finishing it for her. But it looks so sweet in her room and now that it’s all finished she loves it. Cute kit, I’d buy from this brand in the future.

It's easy to assemble and the multiple modes and colors set a fun, relaxing and peaceful mood in her room. The materials are delicate, as one might assume from a DIY cloud lantern, so I recommend as soon as it's constructed get it mounted. Otherwise, it might turn into a toy and, as a toy, it won't last very long.

It is really simple to follow the instructions and all of the materials needed are included in the box. We glued the cotton to the lantern and then decorated it. She hung it in her room with the lights on and it looks really neat. A really fun activity to do and a cool looking finished product.

It looks as though it will be both simple and fun for my daughter to put together and enjoy in her room when it’s finished. the instructions are easy to read so kiddos of all ages will enjoy making it themselves or with an adult if they’re pretty little.

The only complaint is that it is very time consuming and that kids can’t do it on their own also it is a little messy in parts so keep the wipes handy for all the fluff that sticks to your hands.
