“Epic! Awesome!” Say the kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys could not wait for this to arrive! While it takes a few minutes to put together, everything fit where is was suppose to and was easy enough for my 7 year old to do most of it. They love the lava balls that shoot from the volcano and the various sound effects. The bumpy road near the top of the elevator doesn’t really do much but they are not phased by it. It sparks imagination and we found dinosaurs and army people in the set already!

Lots of fun!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child and her friend really had fun with this toy. Their favorite part was the volcano, how it lit up, had sounds, and was realistic. Also when you make the volcano explode, the trees, and rocks move, all realistic according to my child. She likes the elevator, how it transports cars to the 2nd and 3rd floor. We are not sure the point of the QR code, it would be fun if it made the toy interactive virtually.

Many ways to play!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old loves to play with this set. You can send the jeep down several different tracks and each one has something new to do. There is the pretend volcano, there are rocky spots and barricades that can be moved depending on which way you want to send your jeep down. The set up was easy as well. My son loves to show me all the different ways he can make the truck go down the different paths.

HOURS OF FUN, PACKED IN A SMALL SPACE! VERY NICE!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Action Drivers set is, in my opinion, one of the best sets yet! Very fun, very interactive, with an abundance of fun, packed into a small portable play space. This has got to be the best use of the space of any Matchbox city sets, there are so many different things to find, your child will have endless fun playing with this impressive Matchbox Volcano Escape.

Amazing product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very amazed by this matchbox set. It has good quality and there are so many ways to play with it! This set has a working car elevator, a big volcano that throws magma, many different paths for the car to go through, a zipline, and it even makes cool sounds! My son loves it and spends lots of time playing with it. Highly recommended.

Great toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great toy. Did notice it does not work perfectly, but my 4, soon to be 5 year old mind. Several parts, but easy to put together. All in all my soon to be 5 year old and his 48 year old Dad enjoyed playing with it and figuring out how to use the volcano and which way the car would go with certain " gates " closed or open.

Unique addition to the Action playsets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] . While having a Volcano as part of a city is unusual-this playset is unique in that it can be attached to the other playsets if desired. But this set is also a game. As the picture shows, you press down on the lever. Each time you do- the playset makes an announcement. These announcements take the player usually-BUT “Not always” to the point where the volcano comes to life and the lava rocks explode from the top of the volcano. So, if a parent wanted to -they could add a set of cards or dice and use this playset as a stand-alone game. One might press down once or twice, and the volcano erupts. Next time it might take 5 tries, to get it to explode. The playset is easy to put together. The instructions are very detailed, and all the pieces have a matching letter code. Just take your time setting it up. Finally, I do not work for Mattel. I have all these playsets put together on a piece of plywood for my Grandson, who is 3 ½. I highly recommend each set and would be happy to answer any questions. Oh! Prices for each set vary but most of them are not expensive. Enjoy!

Awesome toy.

Best play set ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best set we have seen so far! It came very well packaged and all the pieces were very well organized and easy to find. It took about 10 mins to put it all together. The instructions are very clear to understand with colored pictures. The plastic is a great quality and seems very durable. There are some small pieces but they stay in place securely. The volcano has lights and different sounds every time you activate it with a lever. Also after pushing a lever a few times the “fire” balls come out jumping out of the volcano and it definitely brings lots of excitement to the play! My boys love it so much and play with it for hours and take it with them everywhere! And the best part is once you put it together it stays in place very well so you can take it with you or move it without it falling apart. You can pull it apart for storage as well. Definitely recommend it!

4 Year Old LOVES this toy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Matchbox set is the best! It is unlike the other toys my 4 year old son has, and he loves it so much. It keeps him very busy, and he plays with it with siblings, neighbor kids, and independently. Kids ages 4-8 seem to love it just the same. Highly recommend! We will be buying more of these sets.

Seven year old loves this!

It's very sturdy and seems like it will withstand a lot of use. It's a great addition to his other matchbox sets. We're going to get a lot of use out of this!

Fun Escape!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cute design. My 2 boys played with this for hours. Nicely built for lots of use. My boys loved the idea and even brought out their dinosaurs to add more to it. Some of the features like the trees can be easy to bend but they still held up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Matchbox Volcano Escape Set is a great new addition to our already huge collection of tracks and sets. This set has a volcano that can erupt at any moment so you want to try and escape before the volcanic rocks reach you. There’s a few different paths you can take and a couple of obstacles along the way to switch up how you play. There’s an interactive lift and an awesome off road vehicle that actually says Pismo Dunes on the side: we’ve been going to Pismo for years so that was pretty cool. This set can also connect with other Matchbox and Hot Wheels sets so that’s nice bonus as well. As for assembly, it took me under 10 minutes to put together. You have to apply a few stickers but not as many as I’ve had to do in the past with other ones. The instructions are straightforward, just follow each step and on the back of the instruction sheet it shows you how to play too. Highly recommend for your Matchbox kid. They will have a lot of fun playing with this set.

Entertaining play set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids were absolutely thrilled with this track. They love that the cars can take different paths, they love the elevator and the bumpy track section, and most of all they love the volcano and the fact that it “erupts”. We have had so much fun with this set, they have played with it every day since it came. It was very simple to put together and it’s one of those toys the kids can play with by themselves without frustration. There are enough moving parts and added details to keep them engaged and entertained for a longer period of time. My 4 year old is obsessed with cars, and he likes to bring this set out to the kitchen table and play with it while I do dishes or make dinner. If you have other Matchbox Action Driver sets, this one connects to them with little tabs on the sides. My boys are thrilled to have their own little city started. There is plenty of road here packed inside a smaller foot print than many other car sets. We’re very happy with this set, and this particular series of playsets.

Awesome Little Playset
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say that this playset is the one of the best I’ve seen so far. From unboxing to assembly, Mattel could not have made it easier.
To begin with, the days of tearing tiny pieces of glued cardboard to get to your product are over. Flip over the box, and on the backside are perforations in the cardboard making unboxing a snap. Just pop your finger into the indicated hole, pull up and peel open a large hatch allowing access to the entire inside of the box. Kudos to Mattel for not using any plastic in the packaging. Even the small parts are in recyclable paper. All of the other packaging is recyclable cardboard.
All pieces and parts are neatly arranged and easy to remove from the box. No tools required for that, not even scissors. Instructions right on top, with decal sticker page taped to the inside. Nice touch. If you happen to lose the instruction manual, worry not! Mattel included a QR code on the box linking you to assembly instructions online. Fantastic!
Assembly was a breeze. Again, no tools required, and I mean it. Open the box, and you’re ready to roll. Even the battery is included and already installed. Instructions are very clear and simple. All pieces lined up and fit perfectly. Everything just snaps into place.
Now for the fun factor. The kids could not wait to get to playing with it. The included Jeep allows the fun to start immediately, however most Hot Wheels/Matchbox 1:64 scale cars work with it. The set has a few ramps to go down, with an elevator for the cars to access them all. The main ramps with the motion-action are pretty cool. Additional ramps let out onto the set’s base, allowing cars to access other Action Driver sets the snap together with this one. The volcano is a pretty cool touch, however searching for the lava balls after the eruptions got old pretty quickly. All-in-all, the kids love it and have played with it every day since it’s been assembled.
Definitely worth the purchase for your car-loving kids. Recommended with two thumbs up.
