Melissa & Doug Take-Along Shape Sorter Baby and Toddler Toy

More than a shape sorter--this is an on-the-go activity center! Using nine plastic shapes and the padded carrying case, children can lift crinkly flaps, identify the pictures, match the shapes, and drop the textured blocks through the sorter . . . then pull the plush dog around the edge to unzip the case and start it all again! The baby- and toddler-friendly games and learning activities are great for enjoying together or for independent play, and are sure to keep little ones giggling while they learn. The easy-to-grasp padded handle makes it easy to carry the whole set from place to place--even for crawlers, scooters, and emerging walkers. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Red Dye Please do not make a product that is soft and cannot be cleaned! You advertise the product for a group of children of whom are teething! I TRIED TO CLEAN THE BAG PRIOR TO PRESENTING TO MY DAUGHTER AS ANY NORMAL PARENT WOULD. I CLEANED USING DREFT AND PAPER TOWELS NOT EVEN SOAKING THE BAG TO ONLY FIND THE WHITE PAPER TOWEL NOW PINK. My daughter will and would obviously want to put components of this bag into her mouth as noted only being 9 months old. I don't want my daughter to consume red dye.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slight problem I thought I would love this but it has been so frustrating for my toddler to play with- The container that you put each shape down into just isn't deep enough so the shapes all get into each other's way once they are in the container or trying to get in to join the others in the container- It makes me wonder if they ever watched small children try and play with it before they put it on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Engaging and portable fun! Our 6 month old granddaughter loves this toy. It is a mobile, colorful toy that encourages and stimulates her fine motor and sensory skills. She can sit on a lap with this toy suctioned to a table while the family engages in a social gathering. The beads promote adults to talk to her about shapes and colors. Wonderful!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in product I love the idea of this toy but was highly disapointed in the design of it. The sides of the product are not deep enough for children to push the shapes in and have the shape stay in. Please consider making the shape sorter deeper for better design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worth the narrow depth annoyance it's a little annoying that some of the pieces don't immediately go all the way down once the bag starts filling up, but it's ok to help your child push them in if necessary. otherwise, the colors are great, the bag is cute, they can carry it around like a little briefcase, and my daughter learned all her colors and shapes on this toy (before she was even 2 and a half). the shapes have taken a beating but haven't lost their color/haven't chipped at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun takealong! Both the 3 year old and the 8 month old like playing with this.... the 8 month old can chew the shapes and rattle them around in the carryall, the 3 year old likes putting the shapes in the holes. A win all around because it keeps both of them busy. ( I can get the 3 year old to "teach" her sister what shapes go where... doesn't last too long, but it's a start!
