Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! My son absolutely loves his gift box from Melissa&Doug. He enjoys it and plays with it nonstop. The fun part is that he gets to unwrap the gift box as many times as he wants and he always gets excited when he sees himself in the mirror. The goodies inside were super cute and keep my son entertained for a long time. It is his new favorite toy! I received this as a free samples in exchange for my honest review and I have to say that this gift box is a 10/10!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute exploratory toy for babies and toddlers [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My baby (14 month old) and I opened this you together. He liked opening the box to peek in and unpack the items. The inside items were cute and fun and included a ball, fabric book/card, bear, and crinkly lovie. My baby wasn't as interested in the items inside as he was with the box and the mirror inside on the bottom where he could see himself upon unpacking. This would make a super sweet gift as it can be unwrapped again and again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun box for babies [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This "surprise box" is a nice little toy for babies with a fun birthday theme. I think it would make a fun baby shower gift. We got it when my son was 8 months and I think it could easily be used by younger babies. The box says 6M+ but I think a 3 month old would enjoy it also. A younger baby wouldn't understand the box concept yet but they could play with the toys inside. The toy can grow with the child and can be used for different concepts as a baby grows. The mirror is fun to look in and play peek a boo. One can hide things in the box and teach a child object permanence. There are big tags which honestly my son likes but you could also easily cut them off. Crinkle papers are very attractive to babies as they love the noise. I think the book should have more pages.

His favorite is the crinkle "tissue paper". I thought this would be a great sensory activity for him and familiarize him with presents. My three year old loves playing along with it as well. I think the mirror in the bottom of the box is an awesome touch, and another cool feature is the removable box top.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kid is known for loving to play with odd things like boxes, plastic spoons, and cards instead of real toys. This gift was perfect for her. She loved opening it and taking out all the toys and then putting them all back. The box has a mirror in the bottom and she loved fixing herself after taking out the toys. The actually product is built very well. Like you would expect from Melissa and Doug toys

She spit up on the blanket but I was able to hand wash it and it's still just as new. I love that you can pack everything back up into the box. She enjoys watching the box be opened and all the toys in there to take out. I received this free sample to review, but the thoughts/feelings are my own.

For reference, he is almost 10 months old. He didn't really care about much of it besides the rattle ball, but I think it's still a good fun toy to have. The only part I didn't care for was that the box itself is made of wood.

My 9 month old son had very little interest in it at first, but the more we played with it, the more he enjoyed it. We often put other toys that he enjoys more in the box for him to open. He loves the ball and the crinkly blanket, but could care less for the bear and "book" that are included. The mirror on the bottom is a very nice touch and does make the box more interesting. This is probably not an item we would have initially bought because it is a little pricey for what it is, but are thankful we have it and do enjoy playing with it. We haven't used a Melissa & Doug product yet that we don't love. This one is not quite our favorite, but is a good addition to what we already have. I don't know that I would recommend a friend to purchase this, but it would be a good idea to add to a baby registry.
