Update on timeless 'toy' 4 ALL generations 2enjoy!
I am so happy that my son & I were chosen to test this product. When I was young, I always enjoyed playing with my Spirograph, but the animator takes it to a whole new level! We had no idea of what to expect or how our Spirograph creation would be animated. We were pleasantly surprised and in awe. My son said it was, "SO COOL!" I love how the instructions included basic Spirograph patterns, different design ideas, and how to do them! The use of 'sticky' paper is VERY HELPFUL in keeping the paper in place while drawing the design. Also, the animator has built-in storage, which is very convenient. I found that the Spirograph was helping my son improve his fine motor skills.

So much fun!
I love this new version of spirograph. It's so much fun and such a clever way to add a new way to enjoy an already great toy. It's very easy to use and works just like a regular spirograph, with all the different gears and the colored pens. Then you put your design on the animator and spin it a little to get it moving, and get the strobe lights going and watch as it comes to life. Everything works great and it's very simple to use. It even comes with a storage compartment on the bottom to put all the pieces. All of my kids enjoyed playing with this and it kept them occupied and entertained for a long time. I love how compact it is and its so easy to put away.

Designs come to life
I received the Spirograph Animator to use with my family. This product comes with everything you'll need to start designing except for the batteries. I like the storage compartment under the Spirograph to keep everything together for traveling. I also like the assortment of colors that are included. This is a really unique Spirograph due to the strobe lights. They really bring the designs to life! The one issue I had was keeping the paper in place. It's like a sticky note paper but it's thin and kept sliding. I think if it had a thicker paper (like stock card) it would work better. Otherwise a very fun and creative product!

Fun for all
I have owned several spirograph sets over my laugh and keep coming back to it because of the nostalgia and ease of use. This set doesn't have a whole lot of gears but it is compatible with other sets. The animator and strobe effect take the drawing and spins it while adding light that enhances the effect. It is one of those things that you can sit and watch for a while. Three of my kids and I all took turns making designs and animating them. It is something that I think we will come back to again and again.
My 10- and 13-year-old were able to do it independently while my 7-year-old needed some help. This something I would consider giving as a gift in the future.

works great and alot of fun
I love this Spirograph Animator. My son and I used it and the paper holder works so well that your design is perfect. You get one animator, 6 wheels, 5 pens and 100 sheet of 3x3 paper. The paper fits perfect in the big ring and does not move. The animator brings it to life, like an animated movie clip. The animator has a storage compartment underneath and hold everything. The lights fold down too for easy storage. I recommend this quality product and it was alot of fun for all ages.

Fun, Creative And The Family Loved It
Our family, especially the kids, had fun using the Spirograph Animator. It was easy to use and made beautiful art the kids were proud of making. I love that the designs are endless and the kids were inspired to do more. I love that it used coordination, imagination and creativity. The strobe effect was a nice bonus to displaying the art and a fun way to see the different patterns come alive. Our family is already thinking of seasonal Spirograph gifts we can make and give out to others (or use to make decorations). Our family will be having fun with this for many years!

Very animating.
This is such an animating and engaging toy. It’s fun and fulfilling making different designs/patterns and seeing them spin and come to life. I especially like that it works with other sets that we previously own. Everything in the set was well made and thought of. The best part is dimming the lights and watching it spin. It’s relaxing for me even as an adult to draw patterns with this. It’s portable and compact which makes it easy to take along with you anywhere. Everything stores neatly and easily underneath the spinner.

A great new twist on a classic toy.
Spirograph has always been a great way to bring out the artist in kids young and old. It's an easy way to inspire creativity and design neat works of art. The set includes a good variety of gears and colored pens that can be used to create all kinds of shapes and spirals.
This new version adds a great twist. When you are done designing your work of art, place it on the base, give it a spin, and watch in awe as the flashing lights make it come to life. You will have a blast trying different designs and colors just to see what each one will do once you put it on the table and give it a spin.
The set is compact and all the pieces store in the base of the unit, so you can easily take it anywhere you want to have some fun. Don't let the ages on the box fool you- this item is great fun for everyone, adults included.
