Description

In this educational magnetic toy, the object of the game is to help the colored balls find their way home to their matching color garage. Can you get the red balls to the red house? the blue balls to the blue parking garage and so on? This Montessori learning toy fosters concentration and strategic thinking as preschoolers independently work to get around the obstacles. One of the roadblocks must be guided along a track to move it out of the way. The other one can be rotated to allow one ball through at a time. Younger children will delight in simply moving the balls along the maze. Older children will problem solve how to tuck a ball in one of the alcoves to let another color pass or to turn a corner quickly to dislodge a color that is unexpectedly along for the ride. The three colored buildings have recessed compartments to hold the balls so that they don't fall out of place if the board isn't held completely flat. Pro tip: Hold magnetic wand at 90 degrees for best results. HABA is a German company, family owned & operated for over 80 years. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for hand-eye coordination [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little toy is great for toddlers to start fine-tuning their motor skills. It took a little bit for my daughter to get the hang of using the magnet, but once she did, she loved watching the balls move around. She especially enjoys watching me use the toy and showing her how fast the balls can move. I don’t think it’s a toy that she’s going to sit and use for hours on end, but at this age even 10 minutes can be a blessing. It is well-constructed and seems like it will hold up. The pictures and colors are also very interesting to look at.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Entertaining [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My grand daughter really enjoys this toy! Altho she just turned two and can not really control what she does with the wand and magnet balls she still has fun! It has lots of little places to drag the balls with the magnet wand. I really like that the wand has a short cord - safety first! The wand also has its own storage slot in the board so there is no chance of losing the wand. She also loves to just pick it up and roll the balls all around the board! There are a couple of places in the board with a swinging part so you can change direction of the ball. Has a strong plastic cover so there is no chance of the balls falling out. Well made and very entertaining for her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great you for dexterity [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old had fun with it, especially moving the little bring and turn about. The 2 year old was a bit more frustrated by it but I think with more practice she'll get the hang of it. I like that it's not too big and we can take it for car rides. Seems well built and has a nice slot for the magnet pen to go, it's attached with a strong so it won't get lost either. A huge fan and thing it would also make a great gift for my nieces/nephews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful learning toy. I use it with my grandchildren. My granddaughter whose is 2 is learning hand coordination with the magnetic pen and the balls and my grandson 8 and 4 love to see how fast they can get through the maze. What is great about this is that they are not on electric devices. Thank you Try it Sampling. Absolutely love this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Maybe not for a 3yr old [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a great concept. A very cute and toddler enticing appearance. But it's a lot smaller than I realized. It definitely held her attention but the size wasn't large enough. Unfortunately it scratches super easy with toddler play. Overall it will definitely entertain, is safe for your youngster but could be improved to withstand toddler abuse.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s just ok [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened this up I thought it would keep all the kids busy for a while. First the 5 year old tried to use it and she was able to easily and seemed to love it but after just a few minutes she dropped it and never looked back. The 3 year old found it next and I watched as he frustratingly tried to figure it out and bring it took him a while to get the hang of it it kept him busier than the 5 year old. I picked it up next wanting to give it a try and although I was very impressed with the little additions they put to make it a more intense maze, it didn’t keep me hooked for so long either. There are obstacles they put in place which were cool and I love that there are a ton of balls to get to the other side not just one. The graphics are also very nice. I’m giving it 3 stars just because it didn’t occupy their time for very long.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My two and a half year old grandson was frustrated with the magnetic pen. You have to hold it straight vertically in order to get the balls to move and it was a challenge for him to keep holding it that way. I think he will catch on, but right now since he can't get the balls to move easily, it doesn't hold his interest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for special needs kids [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great puzzle for any child but it really got the attention of my autistic child. The end of the pen has a magnet on it that you use to move move balls in this maze. There are also a couple points where you can move pieces to access other parts of the maze. Super fun toy! All of my kids agree.
