Bought this set for myself and really enjoyed the process of building all the hidden rooms underneath the castle and just seeing everything come together for the final product. This set would honestly be at home next to any of the Architecture sets it is just so detailed and beautiful to look at. I will say you need to pay attention when building with the gray slopes because I used height of slope a couple times and didn’t realize and had to do some disassembly. Overall the set is great for the value and I wish Lego did more architecture style sets like this for other themes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun Set, Great for Fans! My family got this set from my older sister this past Christmas, and my siblings and I worked on it together! It was fun to build, and reignited my love for Lego! The set wasn't too difficult to build, but not so easy that it wasn't a challenge! And as a Harry Potter fan, seeing the castle come to life before my eyes made me feel like a little kid! I would highly recommend this set for anyone looking for an enjoyable, semi-complicated set! Instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the completed set looked INCREDIBLE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I loved how it was built in sections so you didn’t get to bored while laying down the river tiles. The castle itself is a beauty to look at, the towers are built amazingly. The two things I was sad about is the baseplate is not solid at the bottom, so not great for moving. Also the larger baseplate it came with was a little warped from the box, but it will flatten overtime. Overall an amazing set with so many fun details!

The guides were easy to follow with only 2 minor printing issues in regards to either a piece missing or extra in the step but easy enough to figure out. I did have 1 piece missing in the kit but Lego has a great customer service for missing parts replacement. The only thing I wish would be included would be an extra flat black border piece to replace where you don't put the architect. My OCD doesn't like the piece with the 2 notches not being used. Either it should be a flat piece or have something else on top.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice set but flimsy I do like this set. I would suggest to build on a table because of how flimsy it is while building. The base is too thin and becomes warped while working on it. Finished product won't sit flat on table. There are other Hogwarts sets that are sturdier. I do like the other schools arrivals built in to this set which you won't find in other sets. Would love to see a Beauxbatons lego set for the horses and carriage and a Durmstrang ship lego set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It! I'm a HP enthusiast and love all things HP especially Lego! When I saw this new set was coming out it was perfect. It's just the right size and the whole castle but at a lower price point. My 10 year old son is the builder in the family. This took him about 7 hours to complete the build. We live this Lego and it is now proudly on display in our living room. We really enjoyed all the facts that were included in the instruction book.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed.. I absolutely love Harry Potter, and I feel like this would be amazing and worth seeing when finished. BUT, I bought this Lego sometime last year and I have yet to finish it because I don’t have the motivation for it anymore. Reasoning? This will now be the second time noticing that I’m missing a few pieces for this set, and now having to order more. I’ve never had this many issues with any other Lego set. I even took 8 bags worth of building apart and redid it to see if it was an error on my end. But nope..hours later with the same results. :( maybe I’d really love and enjoy this set, had I not got a set that was missing so many important pieces..

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great set, but book has misprints My husband and I adore Legos and we truly adore Harry Potter. We have all of the big Harry Potter Lego sets and we’re so excited to add this to our collection. It is a fantastic set that I love and have proudly displayed, but I will say that this was the first time ever that we saw not just one, but several misprints in the book. It went from one step to another not showing a certain piece but somehow magically that piece was already placed on the next page. Luckily, we are very experienced builders and got it figured out. But we triple checked and this was not us being confused, several of our friends caught the misprints as well and I hope they don’t discourage or challenge any new builders too much. But overall, I adore this set and can’t wait to build more.
