Amazing build experience
This set is truly amazing and when I got it I didn’t imagine it would be such a great built. Regardless if you a fan of Mario theme or not, this is a must have. The building experience is outstanding, combining technic elements with regular bricks in such perfect balance…and the way the Bowser is built at the earlier stages made me imagine what part I was really dealing with, and the end result is a masterpiece. If you are a Mario fan then this is a plus of course, but I have to admit Lego designers achieved a next level that I’ve never seen before being a relatively experienced AFOL. I would love to see more sets like this, so detailed and fun. Kudos for the designers!!!

So I was waiting for this set as a new Lego builder just cause I wanted something new . I am familiar with Mario and love bowser and how like just cool he is . If you can afford it , this build is perfect . Fun and smooth , not to complicated for the brain , and looks super cool amongst the collection . You start off with a base set you just feel good building , and then bowser is just smooth and you fall in love with legos choice on shapes as you create THE MIGHTY BOWSER !!! Would recommend for any Mario fan and anyone looking for something fun , refreshing and new to build that is not the ordinary.

Best Lego buildable figure ever?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this set got announced I was skeptical at first…. I thought the build was decent but had a very heavy price tag. But after seeing reviews on this set I knew this was going to be amazing. The set is beautiful with amazing shaping and awesome features that make this a top 3 set for me. The few problems I have is that it was missing one of the first pieces (a grey baseplate) and sometimes the fireball doesn’t reload for a bit. Overall this set is a must for any Mario fan or just a collector of display sets.

Absolutely Incredible
I scooped this set the second it was available as I’ve been highly anticipating it. Price is a bit steep but the build is such an experience!! The technicality that went into creating this set was so thoroughly thought out. The movement of the head, hands and the tail that moves as well! Once the head tilts the fireball comes out. Facial expressions may also be changed by moving the eyebrows and eyes. All in all, it was an extremely fun set to build and play with. Finished the build in one day. A++ and highly recommended for any Mario fan

This thing is a monster. My 9 year old and I are still working on it and cant wait to finish it. Building this guy has been so much fun, it will almost be sad when its finished. But....he is dying to play with it. He loves Mario bros and we have every Lego Mario set. We are now going to set up an entire room of just mario gear, and all the Lego Mario sets together in one huge city.
Thank you, Lego, for releasing this. The regular Bowser was just not cutting it and he looked funny. This one is the real deal. Awesome work.

I LOVE THIS SET!
First review that I've done.
This set is pure joy.
I've built many sets and I only buy the sets that I love or mean something to me.
I have some of the Mario sets but they aren't built yet because I have no where to put a sprawling Mario course in my house but being a Mario fan and playing the games since the very beginning when I saw this set I HAD to have it.
This set was absolutely pure joy building it. It was a so much fun seeing the techniques they used to bring the king of the Koopa's to life and man did they ever do an amazing job at doing that. He look like he stepped out of the games. Such amazing talent from the people that created this build.
My only issue is that he won't shoot his fireball. I built everything exactly how it is supossed to be done but it won't shoot. So im kind of bummed about that but even with that this thing is an absolute must buy if you are even slightly a Mario fan.
I absolutely love it!! (At work right now so can't post a pic sorry lol)

Childhood Memories
I'm an 80's baby and this piece is a great addition to my NES piece. I am disappointed in a few things though - I do not have any of those add on pieces that come with the digital interactive Mario or the other characters, nor do I intend to purchase those. TO have the digital interaction feature with Bowser seems silly if it's not going to include a character that will interact. I do agree with others that say this price is high but what do you expect from a Nintendo licensed product?! The build was fun and I love the final product. I do wish in the instructions when you are building (like the arms in this instance) that they tell you 2x at the beginning of the next 20 steps, not at the end.

Incredibly smooth
Not only is this a really solid set once all put together, perfect for posing and playing with, but the build itself was very fun and intuitive. There are some sets that are beautiful when complete, like the NES, but the process isn't very fun. Bowser was a blast all the way through and looks beautiful when completed. Highest recommendation!
