The Escape Game: Escape from Iron Gate - The Prison Break Party Game

Description

Welcome to Iron Gate Prison. You and your "friends" have been wrongfully accused of crimes and don't belong behind bars. You've made your case first to the judge, then to the warden, but no one is buying it. Looks like there's only one path to freedom: a good old-fashioned prison break! The good news? One of you is going to make it out. The bad news? Only one of you is going to make it out. Escape Iron Gate Prison by moving through each of the four areas on the board, earning items on the way by completing puzzles, drawing, acting, and trading. The player that passes through the final gate first wins! Will you be the lucky one who can act, draw, and solve your way to freedom? This game offers approximately 45-60 minutes of gameplay with unlimited re-playability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So my oldest daughter told me that my twelve year old plays a game similar to this online so I knew it would be a game that would keep her interested. When I received the game we planned to have a few friends over so that we could play it. It was a little challenging but no one wanted to quit, we were determind to make it to the end. Since my kids were playing we told them that if one of them made it to the end they'll get twenty dollars. That made them want ro make it to the end even more. I recommend this game because it kept my kids off of their phones and tablets and they had fun playing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very fun! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for our family game night and it ⁰ayed very well. It's a fun, competitive game for those nights when everyone has had a drink or 2. The way it combines different aspects of other popular board games is really cool and keeps the game interesting. The action cards vary from puzzles to ciphers to Pictionary-style drawing so it kept things fun and the change up was great. Some of the puzzles or ciphers weren't as tough as they could be, so it sometimes fell a little flat. Everyone had a great time, though! Worth a play, definitely!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lot of fun [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will start off by saying that the instructions are long, but the gameplay is easy. I was discouraged when I saw the instructions and all of the cards that are included. My 16-year-old son set up the game and read the instructions out loud. The game is easy to follow, but the clues are hard to read on the puzzle cards. My teenage kids love this game and we play it at least 3 times a week. The puzzles are challenging and the activity cards can lead to a lot of laughs. I like that the activities cards are drawing or acting out a word. Also, you can choose the level of difficulty you want to try. This game is a hit in our house, but I do not like putting all the cards away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Game for Family and Friends. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good game for time with family and friends. It works well for a family game night or a meetup with friends. It may be a bit of a challenge for some in understanding the concept and all the assorted types of puzzles needed to win the game. [There is the option to draw or act.] It seems worth consideration of time and attention to learn and play. A concern is how many times that you can actually replay this because it seems puzzle cards are a one shot deal, once you know the answer, you know the answer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great party game [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Escape Game is so much fun! I played it at a party with some friends and we all enjoyed it so much! It's easy and quick to learn, not too difficult, but not boring in the slightest! It's got a whole bunch of challenging puzzles that can appeal to everyone. The premise of the game is that you and your friends have been wrongly imprisoned and have to break out/ You earn items by completing puzzles and the first person through the gate is a winner. The best part of the game is the variety of puzzles it has. It's got drawing puzzles and charades! There's a lot of cards in the box so I think it has a high replayability value! My friends and I had so much fun playing, it was a hit at the party.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a large group [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening this game it looks a little overwhelming, there are a lot of cards and several pages of instructions. It's however easy to set up and with the reference cards it's easy to follow along. This game is better played with several people, it allows for extra time for puzzles and extra chances to score cards when someone is doing an action card. It was a lot of fun and definitely a game we will pull out again when friends are over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG This is Hilarious and Fun [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We introduced this at our last family game-night and what was suppose to last a couple of hours, extended to 2am. We had a BLAST. Lost of laughs...the game got better as the adult libations started flowing. But it was TONs of fun prior to us having adult beverages. The game is fun for all ages...my 12 yr old played and my 86 year old granny played and it was amazing. Up to 8 players can plan (min of 3)...it's so much fun solving the puzzles to progress through the game. Imaging being wrongfully accused of a crime and your freedom depends on your ability to successfully complete mental and physical challenges. The Laughter was worth the entire experience. It is challenging but not overly difficult. Also, it's very user friendly. Fun for Hours...you won't regret this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great adult game [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband, myself, and our group of adults friends played this game over the weekend and it was such a hoot! It had us laughing so hard, thinking, and even plotting against each other. It's a very interactive game and it's not your typical boring board game. I think any group of older kids or adults would enjoy playing this.
